We’re excited to share that Bike Week will take place at our school when we return in a few days! Students, 2-5th grade will participate in fun and safe bike activities led by trained instructors. All equipment, including bikes and helmets, will be provided.
Please make sure your child wears closed-toe shoes and comfortable clothing for PE on their scheduled day.
We’re looking forward to a great week of learning, safety, and fun on wheels! In the meantime please stay safe and warm.
It’s hard to believe, but Thanksgiving is here, which also means we have passed one-third of the school year. Good times fly by quickly.
As we approach Thanksgiving, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all of our families. Thank you for your continued partnership, trust, and support. Working together, we create a strong and caring school community where our students can learn, grow, and thrive.
We are grateful for the encouragement you give your children, the collaboration you show our staff, and the vibrant spirit you bring to our school every day. Your involvement truly makes a difference.
Please remember that there will be no school on Monday and Tuesday next week in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
On behalf of the entire Harmony DC team, I wish you and your loved ones a joyful, restful, and safe Thanksgiving. Enjoy this special time with family and friends.

This Friday, November 21st, our entire school will participate in our Fall in Love with Reading Cozy Day. During this event, all students and staff will read together at the same time as we continue strengthening our schoolwide culture of literacy. Older students will read to younger students, and adults will join in as well so that every scholar is part of a shared reading experience.
Please send your child to school in cozy attire, pajamas, warm sweaters, comfortable pants, or any clothing that helps them feel relaxed and ready to enjoy a good book.
Students are welcome to bring a favorite book from home, and each child will receive a bookmark and a small treat to enjoy during our reading time.
Thank you for your continued partnership in making reading a joyful experience for all of our scholars.
