Dear Harmony DC Families,

This week, we have the wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the invaluable contributions of our Assistant Principals, Ms. Shepherd & Mrs. Harris, during Assistant Principal Week. These remarkable individuals, Ms. Shepherd & Mrs. Harris, play a pivotal role in shaping our school community’s culture, values, and success.

Their dedication, commitment, and unwavering support are truly commendable and deserving of our utmost appreciation.

Our Assistant Principals are the epitome of servant leadership, tirelessly working behind the scenes to ensure that our students receive the best possible educational experience. They are mentors, advisors, and advocates for both students and staff alike, always ready to lend a helping hand or offer words of encouragement.

As we reflect on Assistant Principal Week, let us take a moment to express our gratitude and admiration for their outstanding contributions. Please join me in extending a heartfelt thank you to our Assistant Principals, Ms. Shepherd & Mrs. Harris, for their tireless efforts, unwavering dedication, and profound impact on our school. Let us celebrate their accomplishments and continue to support them in their mission to empower and educate the leaders of tomorrow.

As per OSSE’s guidelines, we need to make up January snow days this year. We will convert April 5, April 16, and April 17 to asynchronous learning days, during which students work on a task assigned by their teachers at home and turn completed assignments in on the next school day.

In order to be present for those days, we need to confirm students are working on their assignments by calling/texting/emailing parents between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.,
and
students should work on their assignments and turn them in to their teachers when they return to school.

The work for April 5 will be given on April 4, and students will need to turn their assignments in on the following Monday, April 8.

On Tuesday, March 12, our PK students participated in the Port Discovery Field Trip.

On School Support Staff Appreciation Day, it is essential to express gratitude for the dedicated and invaluable contributions of our support staff members. These unsung heroes play a crucial role in fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment for our students. From administrative assistants managing the daily operations to custodial staff maintaining a clean and safe campus, and paraprofessionals providing essential support in classrooms, each member of the support staff team contributes to the overall success of our educational community. Their tireless efforts behind the scenes ensure the smooth functioning of the school, allowing teachers and students to thrive. Today, we extend our heartfelt thanks to these hardworking individuals for their commitment, passion, and the often unsung, yet essential, work they do to create a conducive and inspiring atmosphere for learning.
