Please see the Bio below!
Kris Hypolite, M. Ed. I am excited about entering my fifteenth year in education. With over twelve years of classroom experience and three years of experience in administration. I am dedicated to fostering student success. I am currently pursuing a Doctorate at Liberty University and have earned a Master’s Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Virginia Tech.
I am transitioning from my role as a Special Educator to the position of Special Education Coordinator at Harmony DC PCS, and I am excited about working in a collaborative and dynamic environment. My philosophy on special education is that learning is a reciprocal process, and all scholars can achieve academic success. I believe that all stakeholders contribute to children’s success, and I am open-minded to ideas that support all learners. I am ready to support staff and students with strategies, training and continuous learning to help our scholars at Harmony DC PCS.
One of my favorite aspects of the special education process is building relationships with teachers, students, and families to support our scholars. I enjoy participating in local Special Education PLCs and attending community events to strengthen community relationships and increase family engagement. I am excited and committed to collaborating with everyone at Harmony to ensure the success of our scholars.
Best,
Hypolite
