We are excited to share that our recent Career Day was a fantastic success! More than ten professionals from a wide range of fields visited our school to share their experiences, stories, and career journeys with our students.

This year, we were honored to welcome authors, police officers, filmmakers, lawyers, flight attendants, dental assistants, educators, and bakers. Each speaker offered unique insights into their professions, helping our students see the many possibilities that await them in the future.

Our students were fully engaged—asking thoughtful questions, making connections to what they are learning in class, and expressing excitement about discovering new career paths. Events like this help open their minds to future opportunities and inspire them to dream big.

We are so grateful to all the professionals who volunteered their time and to the families who helped make the day a success. Your support continues to enrich our school community in meaningful ways.

We’re thrilled to host our Career Day on Wednesday, May 28th! Guest speakers from various fields will visit to share their experiences and inspire our students.

Please ensure your scholar arrives at school on time and encourage them to think about any careers they are interested in from the flyer. This way, they can come prepared to ask insightful questions. It’s going to be a fun and meaningful day of learning!

 

Dear Pre-K Families,

We are excited to share that we have secured funding to offer a limited Summer School program for our current Pre-K students!

While space is limited, we are able to serve up to 20 Pre-K students this summer. Priority enrollment will be given to students who have siblings attending summer school in other grade levels.

Here are the details for Pre-K Summer School:

Start Date: Friday, June 20, 2025

End Date: Friday, July 18, 2025

Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:50 PM

If you would like your Pre-K child to be considered for the program, please complete the interest form or contact the school office by May 28th.

We’re looking forward to a fun and enriching summer for our youngest learners!

Dear Harmony DC Family,

We are excited to share that our Mother’s Day Brunch and Blooms event was a tremendous success! The event was held on Friday, May 9th.

A heartfelt thank you to the Empowering Sisters Club—your beautiful flower baskets and thoughtful contributions truly made the day special. We’re also incredibly grateful to the Parent Engagement Committee for your outstanding setup and support.

An extra shoutout goes to the Empowering Sisters Committee for designing a stunning flyer, delivering a fantastic presentation, and managing countless behind-the-scenes details to bring this celebration to life.

Thank you all for your enthusiasm, time, and effort. Together, we created a meaningful and memorable experience for our community.

Harmony DC PCS is organizing a Summer School program. Summer School is offered to current Kindergarten through 5th Grade Students. Complete and submit this form by Wednesday, May 28, 2025 to confirm your enrollment into the program.

Dates: June 20 (Monday) – July 18 (Friday) Monday through Friday (except for July 4)

Parent Orientation: June 12 (3:30-4 pm)

Daily Schedule: 8:00 am – 3:50 pm

Morning: Academic Sessions

Afternoon: Enrichment Sessions

Breakfast and lunch will be provided free of charge to all students.

The Book Fair has been extended to go through Friday. May 16th. We have currently sold 86 books and are steadily working towards our goal of 200 books. Your support helps us be able to buy books for our scholars and develop a love of reading.
